Early Life & Introduction to Pilates
Talia grew up in Upstate New York, spending her childhood in dance classes and backstage at her parents’ performing arts company. Movement became second nature early on. Her first Pilates class—a mat class at a local dance studio—was a turning point, giving her a new and profound connection to her body. She began taking private lessons in Delmar, NY, and soon after auditioned for the classical Pilates apprenticeship program at Romana’s Pilates in New York City. At just 17, she became the youngest apprentice ever accepted and officially entered the program at 18.
Training & Certification
From 2005 to 2007, Talia trained intensively under Sari Mejia-Santos, daughter of Romana Kryzanowska—Joseph Pilates’ protégé—and was fortunate to meet and study with Romana herself, attending seminars and sessions at Drago’s Gym in NYC. She also learned from Romana’s granddaughter, Daria Pace. Through this deep mentorship and training, Talia experienced firsthand the transformative power of the Pilates Method, which she has believed in ever since. Talia received her full certification in 2007.
Teaching Experience
After graduating, she traveled regularly between New York and Madrid for four years to teach, and also accompanied Sari to Rome and Milan. Since then, she has continued to teach and study, sharing the Method with clients across New York and Spain—including at the Romana’s Pilates training center after graduation, and in Madrid, Saratoga Springs, Albany, and now Delmar.
Continued Learning & Passions
Talia is currently studying the Gyrotonic Method and is also a passionate dog rescuer. She fosters, rehabilitates, and helps find loving homes for homeless and neglected dogs in Upstate New York.
Current Offerings & Philosophy
She currently teaches private clients and semi-private (duet) sessions, and believes deeply in Pilates’ ability to transform not only the body, but also the mind and overall well-being. For Talia, Pilates is more than a method—it’s a lifestyle rooted in mindful movement, discipline, and balance. Watching her clients evolve—physically and mentally—remains the most rewarding part of her teaching journey.

How It all began
Tammy’s Pilates journey started in 2015 with a Mat certification through Power Pilates. Motivated to deepen her understanding, she pursued additional training with Balanced Body in 2016, completing certifications in Anatomy as well as Reformer I & II. In 2017, she returned to Power Pilates to earn her Comprehensive Certification, marking a significant milestone in her professional path.
Where passion meets purpose
Before discovering Pilates, Tammy had been an Energy Practitioner since 2012. This background gave her a unique appreciation for how movement influences the body’s energetic flow. She was naturally drawn to Pilates for its ability to harmonize body and energy, offering clients more than just physical benefits.
Continued Education & Evolution
In 2021, Tammy expanded her expertise by becoming Mat certified through The Vertical Workshop—a program rooted in biomechanics and functional movement. This training added a deeper scientific foundation to her practice and broadened her ability to support diverse client needs.

Hi, I’m Mia — a passionate healer, a student of life, and someone who truly believes in the power of touch and energy. My journey hasn’t always been easy, but every experience has led me to this beautiful place of purpose. I’m currently in school studying massage therapy and studying reiki online, and every day I feel more aligned with my calling.
Balancing school, life, and my daughter
has taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of self-care. I’ve poured so much love into my education, learning not just the techniques, but the heart behind what it means to truly help others feel seen, safe, and held.
Now, I’m stepping into a new chapter — beginning my work as a massage therapist. I’m so excited to start offering massages and create sacred spaces where people can relax, heal, and reconnect with themselves. This is just the beginning, and I’m grateful for the path that’s unfolding.
